I'll let you in on a little secret.  Those experiments in the Virtual Reality Lab... they aren't really what we're saying they're for.  Oh yes, we TELL the volunteers that it's about extending the limits of human perception.  But really, it's a psychology experiment in induced fascination.  You're going to become fixated on Me, Mistress Daizy.  After all, what better place could there be... for Me to hypnotize you so VERY deeply?  At the touch of a button... the turn of a dial... I can make you experience any sensation I wish...   The darkening sights, sounds, and smells of twilight at the beach... stroking your hand over the soft fur of a tiny kitten... or reaching up and touching a glittering, twinkling star!  And with each new sensory delight, you hear My Voice gently lulling you into a deep, quiet, obedient sleep.  A VERY deep sleep.  Where I can perform My own little experiments.  Is that Me sitting on your lap... or a carefully crafted simulation?  Go ahead, and touch...  It's only fair that you should enjoy the experience.  Because I'm going to brainwash you... just a little... just a little bit.  Of course... you may not remember too much about what I've done to your sleepy, obedient mind!  But once I'm in your head... I'm going to be there forever!
